Sil-MATRIX LC, Organic Certified Fungicide, Miticide, Insecticide-Certis
Sil-MATRIX® LC is a potassium silicate–based product used to support disease management and reduce insect and mite pressure on a wide range of crops and ornamental plants. It provides a preventative approach to pest and disease control while also helping improve plant tolerance to environmental stress. When applied, Sil-MATRIX is absorbed into the plant cuticle, where it forms a silicon matrix that acts as a physical barrier to pathogen entry. Material remaining on the plant surface creates a layer of silicon deposits that further inhibit disease development. These deposits also make foliage and fruit less palatable to insects, reducing feeding, while direct contact can desiccate and control soft-bodied pests. Sil-MATRIX is labeled for use on agricultural crops, fruits, nuts, vines, and ornamentals. It is most effective when applied as part of a regularly scheduled preventative spray program with sufficient water volume to ensure thorough coverage of all plant surfaces.
